This is what I look like when I am packing up a place I have lived in longer than any other place in the past five years.
Add to that 90+ degree weather, trying to pack for six days in someone else's kitchen, five days of outdoor Symphony work, three days of library work, two weddings, and one day of office work. (I tried to come up with a four, my brain is too fried.
Now, it's nothing quite like moving across the world from Sweden to Singapore (I need your new address, lady!), but hobbling to a friend's house to live out my last days in GR and Michigan only to waddle to my parents' house for a week to attend a friend's wedding and visit with my shortly departing sister and brother-in-law has its own unique set of constraints.
But! As per request, my new place will have blessed, blessed air conditioning! And now just a window unit! Central air! The reward for all my wait and trial shall be gloriously cool. Mmmmm. Still sorting out how to get keys from three states away, but all in good time. The place shall be mine on the 15th! And from there, new adventures back in school again.

Once Upon A Time I could actually figure out what was going on here.
No, that's kind of a lie. I never quite knew what was going on. And I am terrible at keeping a schedule when I so clearly don't have one.
I wish I was a better blogger. Oh well.
I am currently paying rent on a house that I avoid because it is too hot to stand inside next to a fan without sweating. It is not supposition or exaggeration that it's hot inside. There has been confirmation of indoor temperatures of upwards of 90 degrees. I can't do this. I can't. I slept in the dank basement last night to get some actual sleep. I did. I dreamt, in fact. But every time I rolled over, my pillow felt a little moist, and not always from my own drool. Given that I am recovering from a nasty sounding sinus infection, I am loath to put myself in a situation where damp conditions could only bring it back. But if I "sleep" upstairs, I won't sleep much at all.
Which will help me heal? Tossing and turning in pajama eschewing heat or snuggling under one blanket with a pillow whispering of moisture?
I must have air conditioning in the future. It is well worth the additional cost. I will be uncheap to actually sleep.
